Christmas is coming....

This weekend we got the tree up and hsd it decorated in no time. I can't believe how fast it goes with such good helpers. I try not to move any ornaments they hang but a tree can only take so many on one branch. It was a little tipsie so I had to help. Clara was getting a little .......Claraish so she stole the antlers and we ended the night with these lovely pictures of her. Jerm thought we should use it on our Christmas card this year!

Yummy? Thanksgiving dinner

For the first time we prepared a turkey. YUCK! I don't know about doing that again. It ended up looking pretty and not tasting so good.(I've never missed Dad so much!!!) Jerm did a good job carving it and the girls were great help all day. Good thing I make a killer pea salad!! All the other food turned out well except I forgot to bake the pie before dinner so we had warm pumpkin pie. Oh well.....we sure learned a lot this year. The girls even wore their pilgrim feast hats from preschool.

FHE

Jerm came home with this fun, easy, and cheap idea: good ol' pvc pipe wreath! The girls helped him wrap it. I'll have to go out and take pictures one day.

This box is loaded to the hilt with all of the girls' important things that they were bringing to Idaho to visit Sydney girl and Treyson boy with. It is actually a boat if you ask them and they were content to sail in the boat longer than you would think possible. Oh, the wonder of a box.

And this thing that Clara is hauling around is her "baby". It's actually a harvest decoration scarecrow that she was deathly afraid of for about 2 weeks when we got it out. She apparently got over it and has loved it till the stuffing is gone. In these pics I think she is feeding it and then carrying it off to who knows where!

The Last..........

This will be the last of Halloween 09 I promise. I'm sure now that weve loaded all of the pictures now, so this is it! Audrey's class dressed up Thurs. before Halloween and they were adorable! They got to paint pumpkins and frost cookies and make spider hats that day, too. Chloe was a "happy witch".

The Dentist

We love going to the dentist by the time we get there as I have to warm them to the idea for 2 weeks! Luckily we've found Dr.Miller who has this cool waiting room. They also have quilts hanging on almost every wall. They even had Halloween ones up this time! The girls were very behaved....only they both had stiff-leg. I thought it was so funny! Audrey's in the green belt and Clara in the sunglasses.

We went to an adult halloween party and it was so fun! Jerm won the spider crawl and there were lots of fun costumes and lots of yummy food. Adrie gave us the cool egg ideas. They went like hotcakes! Natalie and I coordinated and Jerm was a "bum". His sign said "lost my job" and he looked good...I mean bad.?! Anyway, Natalie was the cutest but this guy, James, the "Eighties-rocker guy", won the costume contest. Killer mullet!!

Trick-or-Treating

This is how we roll. We bring the wagon so we don't end up carrying anyone. Audrey and Clara's favorite missionary came by on halloween night so they were playing some sort of game. Nice action shot, huh?

Fresh Carrots???

We never got around to cleaning up the gardens yet so the other day I showed Audrey what was underneath those green stems. She was very pleased and chose lots of "big, fat ones." They were a little woody but I thru them in with the roast and they weren't bad.

On Sunday Me and Audrey were just goofin' around while Daddy was at his meetings and Buggy was sleeping. (She has cream cheese on her lips and "licked" it with her teeth)

I always wonder where my chip clips go.....

More Halloween

We have a couple of cameras and the Chappells took pictures on Halloween so I keep finding different files. I think there is one more set of trick or treating too. But these are just a couple cute ones. Natalie was so good that night and slept thru walking around the neighborhood after all the picture taking.

Meanest Mom EVER!!!

Lacey inspired me to post this silly pic of Natalie. (Jinny had a pretty good cross eye in one of her postings!) She'll probably be so embarrassed in about 15 years! You always get to see how cute she is but she also makes us giggle alot with her funny faces. She's getting old enough to not do it as often and I find myself already thinking she's growing up too fast.

This is a photo that I have in our fall decoration box and I love to find it each year. It was our first family trip to the pumpkin patch. Audrey and Jerm(obviously)
